These days, the focus is primarily on reducing the time, effort and resources required to do a work with equal efficiency. When we talk about conducting an exam, the process goes something like this:



  1.    Registration for the exam

  1.    Providing Admit cards

  1.    Selecting questions

  1.    Writing or typing them on a paper

  1.    Getting several copies of the paper of the required number of students

  1.    Making sure the exam papers are safe till the exam

  1.    Transporting the papers to the centres safely

  1.    Gathering students in centres for the exam

  1.    Then correcting the papers

        10. Uploading the marks


These are just the basic steps, if the number of students and subjects increase, the process will become more complex and tedious. To make the process easier we now have Online exam system.

These exams are taken online which makes the examination process faster and more convenient i.e., e-examinations. No wonder most prestigious exams went online including CAT, JEE, SSC etc.
